Queer Grief Club New Moon Meditation
Part collective reading and part guided visualization, this space is a gentle invitation for queer grievers to come back into our bodies, to breathe, and to rest. Led by Michelle of Agua y Sangre Healing, this grounded space is trauma-sensitive and offers gentle care to tender hearts.
We will begin with an invitation to contribute to a communal altar and close with a grief sharing circle . Please bring a blanket or yoga mat to use. Optional: bring an object or a photo that represents your grief or your loss if you would like . Tea, water, and a couple of little treats will be provided.
Tickets are $5-$19 sliding scale.
Location: Side Yard Farm and Kitchen, Northeast Simpson Street, Portland, OR, USA
About our Facilitator: Michelle Castor (she/they) is a mixed brown queer femme and a Portal Doula. They support individuals and communities in navigating the portal-like transformations of grief, loss, fertility/TTC, pregnancy, and the postpartum - along with intentionally imagining and creating life on the “other side” of these portals or thresholds. Learn more about their work at aguasangrehealing.com, and find her on IG @aguasangrehealing.
About Queer Grief Club: Queer Grief Club is an activity-focused grief support meetup group dedicated to reimagining grief spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals. Founded by Jamie Thrower, a death doula and grief and loss educator, Queer Grief Club aims to provide inclusive, compassionate, and empowering spaces where queer grievers can find solace, support, and build community. By centering queer experiences and addressing the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community, we strive to create a space where vulnerability is celebrated, and healing can unfold authentically. Queer Grief Club provides resources, guidance, and a community of peers who understand the intersections of queerness and grief. You can follow them on IG @queergriefclub or contact Jamie directly at jamiethrower.com
