Counterclockwise Pop Up with Field Therapy: Writing Workshop

  • Bishop & Wilde 2601 Northwest Thurman Street Portland, OR, 97210 United States (map)

This past year, Sam Field of Field Therapy started hosting a course called Counterclockwise which is part, workshop, part process, and part practice to explore themes of queer trauma and healing. I was honored to support that 8 week group, and now Sam is coming to Portland to host a pop up mini version of Counterclockwise - and she asked me to help co-facilitate!

She will be in town 3/1 and 3/2 to offer two workshops on the topic of moving from queer trauma towards queer joy, healing and futures. The goal of this group is not to solve but to find space and community around similar themes and topics.  These workshops will be part education, part community building, and part writing workshop based on counter-narrative writing storytelling/live anthology creation.

Friday’s pop-up will be a writing workshop, on how to write your own counternarrative as it relates to Queer trauma, healing, joy, and futures.

When: Friday, March 1st @ 2pm - 4pm PT

Where: Bishop & WIlde Books; 2601 NW Thurman St, Portland, OR 97210
