This is a gentle circle to cultivate and strengthen skills, tools, and support we need to tend to our grief in expansive and loving ways. Learn more below and RSVP here.
To become stewards or caretakers of grief - we must honor it. And to honor it - we must allow it to be. Our grief is begging to be seen - and it is telling us how it wants to be cared for. To witness our grief without judgement is to unpack the notion that our grief needs to be fixed. Instead, what if we could care for it like it was a young child? Without expectations but with great love?
What if we could look to ourselves, our bodies, one another, the plants, the whales, to our own grief for the very care we’ve been seeking?
Over the course of two sessions, we will:
hold an expansive definition of what grief is and can include
explore what can impact our ability to tend to grief
identify sensations and feelings that describe our experiences of grief
engage in trauma sensitive body-based practices for grief
identify our basic “grief needs” and map the tools, skills, herbs, and supports that help us tend to grief
Our time together will include: journaling/reflection time, somatic or body based exercises, group discussion, and information sharing or “lecture” time. All of it is an invitation. <3
